The 8 km long "Hochkönig trail" is located directly at the Dienten mountain saddle, and is perfect for cross-country skiers. The trail entrance is only 400 m walking distance away from the four star superior hotel Übergossene Alm. The trail runs over fields and meadows, with beautiful views all along the way. You can use more cross-country trails in the neighbouring towns, in Maria Alm in particular. The trails are more than 40 km long in total and illuminated by floodlights until 9 p.m.

Breathtaking vistas of the Hochkönig and the Taghaube peak are your constant companion along the 8 km route, snaking its way over snowy fields and meadows. This classic round trail is flat to slightly hilly, and of medium difficulty to slightly strenuous, meaning that it's easy for cross-country skiers with a fair amount of practice. The round circuit can be completed in around one hour.
