One thing is certain we won’t forget 2020 in a hurry. It has always been very important to us that our guests feel good here with us in Übergossene Alm Resort and it is this objective that has given us motivation to embrace special measures during this exceptional time. We work every day to ensure that your summer and winter holiday becomes a legendary experience and that you can enjoy our Alm as a retreat where you can leave daily life behind where you can take a deep breath, where you can breathe in the fresh mountain air and where you can recharge your batteries for everyday. With this in mind, we have created the #foreachother package specifically for the current situation, which, on the one hand includes amended cancellation conditions for your 2020 summer and 2020-21 winter holidays, and on the other, includes additional safety measures.

We have tested all of our staff for a fourth time and all tests up to 06.10.2020 have been negative.

Here is a brief overview (Please note that this is subject to change at any time).

As at: 06.10.2020

Our #foreachother packages goes beyond the cancellation conditions.

As your retreat in the mountains, we promise to be there for one another. You can forget day to day life here, take a deep breath and simply do what it is you would like to do. There are countless opportunities available around the Hochkönig for your special mountain adventure.

As a member of Best Alpine Wellness Hotels we already meet very high hygiene standards.

In the last few weeks we have worked intensively, whether that is part of our team or with external companies, to deal with the current hygiene guidelines. After all, hygiene and cleanliness in all areas is our uppermost priority.

Cold nebulisers are used at regular intervals in our rooms for effectively combatting germs, bacteria and all kinds of viruses.

  • Saunadörfl

The maximum number of guests is stated in every sauna cabin. With the exception of steam baths all sauna cabins and relaxation rooms are open. For the time being infusions will not take place.

The Sonnalm relaxation rooms and 'Raum der Sinne' will be aired on a regular basis, likewise, in the lounger area, the relevant minimum distance between other people is to be maintained. So this summer you have more space for yourself.

Our gardens also provide an area of over 10,000 m² for relaxation and passing the time. And you can keep to the distancing rules 'just like a Royal' there.

  • Hochkönig Spa

Massages & treatments will take place as usual. Our SPA team are of course very well equipped, with protective nose and mouth masks and they have they have received the best training in this matter.

Treatments will be organised in a way that allows time for treatment rooms to be disinfected and aired between treatments.

Our head chef Christian and his restaurant manageress Christina have devised a new Alm cuisine offer. We have learned a great deal in the last few weeks and months, but sustainability and regionality will always be a part of what we do, however we will devote even more time to these aspects in the future. Our home town Dienten, Salzburger Land and the surrounding regions have so much to offer in terms of cuisine that in the future we will work even more closely with our regional partners.

The minimum distance rule does of course apply in the restaurant too. Since we do not want to let out all of the rooms in the hotel to ensure you stay safe, there will also be plenty of space in the restaurant area for your culinary delectations.

6 different areas and snugs in our restaurants provide ample space. Our terrace is available too, providing dreamy views to the Hochkönig.

Masks are compulsory throughout the interior areas of Übergossene Alm Resort.

Due to state government regulations, our hotel bar is only open until 22:00 at the moment.

Meal and drinks menu cards will be disinfected on a regular basis, so too will objects that are frequently touched (door and window handles, table surfaces, etc.)

Our service staff in the restaurant will wear mouth and nose protection or face guards.

We strictly adhere to guidelines specified for kindergartens.

The outdoor area in the Kinderalm, spanning 2000 m², will of course be used even more for child supervision activities this summer. We also make sure that the indoor areas are safe too, with regular airing and disinfecting as per hygiene standards.  Our trained child supervisors work together with our house-keeping team to ensure that provisions are implemented in children's areas.

By allocating specific stations we ensure that children only play and run around in small groups.

You and your children can of course make use of the interior of the Kinderalm without availing of supervision. However the wearing of masks is compulsory for all adults.

This summer too, we want to offer you an extensive  Alm activity programme as part of your stay.

When the weather is fine, sports activities, including fitness courses, can take place in the Sonnengarten, which provides views to the Hochkönig.

Guided hiking and bike tours will take place in small groups and all available sports equipment, including mountain bikes and fitness equipment will be disinfected on a regular basis.

The hiking and cycle trails in the Hochkönig region can be used without any restrictions!

From 14.09.2020 the wearing of face coverings has been obligatory in all indoor areas in hotels.

General recommendation for you – after all, it is only in this way that we can be there #foreachother .

  • Maintain a minimum distance of 1 metre from other people who are outside your own group
  •  Avoid handshakes, hugs and physical contact
  • Wash hands with soap and water regularly, for at least 30 seconds
  • Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands
  • Cough or sneeze into the crook of your arm or into a tissue
  • Foolow the instructions provided by staff.

There are of course plenty of notices, single use face masks and disinfectant dispensers provided for your use.

Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to welcoming you!
