With the “Best for People” certificate the hogast Einkaufsgenossenschaft (with over 2000 business members) created a quality certificate for the best employers within the hospitality industry. The certificate demonstrates to qualified personnel the best businesses with the most attractive working conditions and the best working environment. As the first hogast business member the Hotel Übergossene Alm in Dienten received this quality seal. Next to the hogast award for the achievements of your hosts , the Hotel Übergossene Alm can proudly announce, that they have been recommended by the “Wirtschaftskammer Salzburg” as a certified Apprenticeship business.
Certificate: Best for PeopleA great business thrives because of great employees, but within the hotel and service industry it is hard to find good employees. The industry has been criticizing the lack of good staff for years. But the positive working conditions, which many hotels and service industry businesses offer, are hardly ever mentioned. A positive image is not communicated well enough.
A fact that is going to change with the “Best for People“ initiative of hogast Einkaufsgenossenschaft: a positive working environment and great benefits for employees are going to be communicated more efficiently and are going to show qualified employees a benchmark with regards to the quality criteria of employee benefits. As the first hogast-business member the Hotel Übergossene Alm in Dienten near Salzburg received the “Best for People” certificate in June 2008.
Survey process guarantees objectivity
The certificate is awarded in cooperation with the “Quality Austria“ and the Viennese Research company Manova GmbH. The basis is the questioning of all employees within the business and the business owners themselves. Objectivity is therefore guaranteed, as opposed to online employee surveys, during which often only selected employees are asked their opinion, all employees take part. If the criteria are fulfilled, the business is awarded the certificate. “With this the certified businesses have the chance to prove their positive working environment and communicate it with the market”, says hogast MD. Dr. Schenk. The survey is repeated annually. “Which gives the businesses the opportunity to develop and increase their attraction as employers.; to this end we offer external partners from the hogast-consulting pool.”
“Best for People” also targeting small and medium sized businesses
“The leading businesses within the industry show, that with a positive image as an employer it is much easier to attract good employees and also to keep them. With “Best for People” we open an opportunity also for smaller businesses”, says hogast MD. Dr. Schenk. The certificate is exclusively designed for the tourism industry and is also meant for small and medium sized companies with less than 50 employees.
